Calling all applicants: become a producer!

0 Comments | Posted

Hey there STV people!

Guess what!
The STV Producer/Content Proposal Application is open! Have you ever wanted to create your own TV or web show? Well, now you can! We’re open to any and all ideas, so take a risk and apply to become a producer! You can pitch an idea about a sports review show, a comedy about a person who thinks they’re a penguin, anything. We have the resources and the know-how to help you make it happen.

Things you should know:

  1. If you’d like to co-produce a show with someone, great! Only one of you needs to submit the application. List any co-producers and associate producers in the “Roles” section of the form.

  2. If you are producing a continuing show from the 2015-2016 school, as a formality, please fill out the 2016-2017 producer’s application.

  3. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. We will get back to you within a week of your application submission. So, the sooner you submit, the better!

  4. If you have more than one idea for a show, you can submit more than one application.

  5. If you are a graduate student and are submitting an application, please choose “graduate studies” instead of your graduation year.

  6. If you are interested in creating a sports-related show, it's possible that we can get you press badges for major UNC sporting events.

It's a little lengthy, but fear not: the questions are designed to help you figure out how you'd make your show happen. We understand that big ideas take time to develop, and we at STV want to work with you to help you make them a reality.

The last day to submit an application is September 2, 2016 at 5:59pm.

If you need some assistance with the form or want to talk through your ideas, we're here to help! Email Mariana Abou-Rizk at
