Dear UNC Student Television alumni,
Can you believe it was 30 years ago when some crazy Carolina students started saying “STV: It’s Gonna Be Big!”?
Mark your calendars for Nov. 8-10, 2013, when STV will celebrate its 30th anniversary during UNC’s Homecoming Weekend in Chapel Hill. The reunion is for all STV alumni, regardless of class year and whether you worked on one show or 100!
- Reunite with old (well, not that old) friends.
- Gain exciting perspectives of STV's past, present and future.
- Meet and hear from STV alumni who've "made it big!”
- Share your experiences and encouragement with current STV students.
- Check out STV’s new HD studio and latest equipment upgrades.
- Catch the STV Highlights Reel: "The Best of 30 Years!"
Schedule of Events
We’ll kick off the weekend Friday at 7pm with great Food and Fun in STV’s new Studio in the Union. We’ll then head to Franklin Street for the Alumni Milestone Mixer at Top of the Hill’s fantastic Back Bar. On Saturday, enjoy real Carolina barbecue, music and pregame activities at the annual Bell Tower Tailgate before the UNC-Virginia football game. (STV block seating game tickets will be available.) After the game, we’ll celebrate a Carolina victory at the Postgame Party at The Carolina Inn. There’s no charge for the Friday Mixer or Saturday Postgame Party, which are part of the overall Homecoming schedule.
Follow STV on Facebook and Twitter, and let us know what you’re up to! And please join our STV Alumni Facebook Group to stay updated on the reunion and connect with fellow STV alumni.
Online registration will be available in August. Visit alumni.unc.edu/reunions/UNCSTV to register, and for additional information and schedule updates. Hotel blocks have been reserved for the weekend, so make your reservations today!
We look forward to seeing you in Chapel Hill this November as we celebrate the past – with an eye toward the future – of one of the most successful student television stations in the country!
